National Heritage Week 2021

This year’s National Heritage Week take place from Sunday 14th August to Sunday 22nd August. The Heritage Council invite individuals, communities, and organisations to develop Heritage Week Projects.

The Heritage Council will start accepting National Heritage Week Projects from Wednesday, 16th June 2021. Projects should be completed on time for National Heritage Week (14th – 22nd August) and they will be showcased on www.heritageweek.ie

If public health guidance allows social gatherings to take place during National Heritage Week, organisers may host in-person events if they are 100% compliant with prevailing guidance.

Cavan County Council Heritage Office encourages individuals and communities across the county to celebrate National Heritage Week. A small grant scheme is in place to support individuals and groups to undertake National Heritage Week Projects.
