The Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2019 is now open to applications for the repair and conservation of protected structures

The scheme is for the repair and conservation of structures that are protected under the Planning and Development Acts. This Scheme aims to support a significant number of labour-intensive, small-scale conservation projects across the country and to support the employment of skilled and experienced conservation professionals, craftspeople and tradespersons in the repair of the historic built environment. The allocation nationally for 2019 is up to €2.5 million.

Only one application per structure will be considered. Grants will be between €2,500 and €15,000 in value. The total value of public funding allocated per project must not exceed 50% of the total project cost. See Guidance Circular below for further information on eligibility, assessment process, etc.

Applications should be returned to Ann Marie Curley, Heritage Officer, Cavan County Council, Johnston Central Library, Farnham Street, Cavan or by close of business on Thursday, 31 January, 2019.
